Textile is a global non-profit that works closely with our members to drive industry transformation in preferred fibers, integrity and standards and responsible supply networks. We identify and share best practices regarding farming, materials, processing, traceability and product end-of-life in order to reduce the textile industry’s impact on the world’s water, soil and air, and the human population.
Our Story
Thanks to our agricultural background, which in 1974 led to the formation of rice trading company in Lahore, Pakistan. From the humble scale of the company mainly serving the home market, the Amanat has now grown into being one of the top rice Processors and Exporters not only in Pakistan but a truly international group companies. Today we are involved in the procurement, processing export, marketing, and distribution of grain-based products such as rice, pulses (beans, peas, lentils and chickpeas), other specialty grain products and various spices & herbs.
The Amanat exports more than 90% of its production to over 30 countries. The customer base is particularly strong in the European Union. The distribution network spans over most EU countries. The clients are varied and include retail chains, cash & carry outlets, wholesalers, distributors, and packers. It goes all the way up to the Food Service and Industry sectors.
Even after all the years the Amanat is still a fully family run and owned internationally orientated business group, now having its presence on two continents having production facilities and sales & distribution and is thus extremely well capable to meet its vision and firmly committed and confident to fulfil the Group’s mission,
